is a 200M better than a Big red

is a Regular big red better than a 200 ES?

Is a 185 better than a 185s ??

Would be nice to find a lineup of trikes and their value in a lineup... all of them

200 was the next size up from the 185 when in production and depends on the years your talking about! the 200m had no reverse where the 200es did!

And the "S" in 200s or 185s stands for "sport", and is lighter, has front suspension, and a smaller frame compared to the regular, older 200 and 185 (80-82) where "s" showed up in 83 on. The "M" stands for medium, and the "ES" is like the large. The larger the model, the better the machine.

200 ES is a big red. ES stands for electric start and shaft driven. 82-83 where just a 200e which was an big red chain driven with electric start. 84 went to 200es which was the same hard tail chassis 200 but had electric start and shaft drive. 85 went to a full suspension and a 250cc motor ES elctric start and shaft driven.

The early 185s did not have front suspension, I don't feel the "s" designation meant sport. The 185 came first in 1980. It was the biggest at the time, and in following years the 200 used that frame. The 185s came in 1981 and used a smaller frame and tires. I don't think "ES" means large either, I was under the impression it was electric start. The other models I'm not sure about.

Awesome yes, accurate maybe??? the letter system makes absolutley no sense. The "M" designation as far as i can tell means electric start. 125M- electric start. 200M - electric start. 200ES sure fits electric start, but its a shaft drive electric start machine with reverse.

Going from your original question, 1 a 200 M IMO would not be better than any big red. as stated above, 82 83 big reds (200E) were chain driven, electric start with a high low subtranny. 84 big red (200ES) is everything the 200e was with reverse and shaft drive. 85-88 big red is 250cc, shaft drive, electric start (with a kicker backup), and has FULL suspension. If nothing else, the more options of any big red means its better than a 200M

2 Whats a regular big red? The best way to think of it is that every model of Big Red is better than the next. the 85-88 250 big red is better than the 84 200es, which is still better than the 82-83 200E.

3 I dont know anything about 185s. Is there a regular 185? or are they all 185s? Maybe someone can answer this?

Yes, the only 185 was in 1980. All other years are 185s on the smaller frame.
