What kind of forks are on this 200ES

A sad looking 200ES, but what kind of front end/forks are they using on it? They aren't the original ones for a 200ES I know that.

They don't look like Big Red forks. It does not have the brake hub on the left side, also looks pretty tall. The picture of the Big Red 250es forks below are clearly different.

Those actually are the correct forks for that bike...just looks funny because the shock boots are too small, making the fork look longer than it should be (and they're yellow).

your right. but the tabs in the front are for a factory rack so that should narrow it down.

OK. I did some checking and this is what I have come up with. The original 200es forks have the "flat braces" (for lack of better description) on the bottom fork legs that the brake attaches to shown in picture below.

Picture here is a 250es fork. It has one fork that has the brake hub mounts and one that is plain.

The 200es in this Photo has the 250es forks installed correctly, with the (non visual) brake hub on left side.

So I have come up with this theory.
The original 200es in the ad does have 250es forks, but who ever installed them, have the shocks of the forks installed backwards. It shows a trailing front axle. The 250es forks installed the correct way should be a leading axle. Also the 200es in the original ad looks to be using the 200es fender which makes the fork appear taller. At least this my theory...

Hey now.. I think I just answered my own question.

Ahhh...I now see what this guy did...he took the 200es forks, hacked off about 6 inches of them, and then shoved 200s shocks inot them, and bolted them to the forks....inginuity I guess??
