ATC 200 brake lever length differences

Can anyone explain the reason behind the difference in length of the brake levers on my ATC 200? The left one is shorter. Both are original Honda. Reproductions mimic the originals with the left being shorter as well.

Hmm, i will have to look more closely and measure them on a 200 now, can't explain why they would be though.

Yeah, my left one was missing when I bought the trike so I ordered a repro one and it was shorter than the right. I thought "crap" must be because it's aftermarket, so I bought an NOS one and it's exactly the same length as the reproduction which is probably about 3/4" shorter than the right. Just curious what the reasoning would be as they are both brakes, not like one is the clutch like the R models.
