Thoughts on handlebars and stiff clutch

Hey guys I'm restoring my 84 atc 250r. I've been looking at different handlebars and controls. I like the pro taper brand but I'm not sure which one to get. I think I want the fat bars (1 1/8). I'm also looking for new clutches. The clutch on the trike right now is very very stiff. I don't know if that's because. Of the age of the trike but I was looking for suggestions. Thank you for reading

Stiff clutch usually means it needs a new cable or possibly it has HD springs ?

Yes I have built a few of those motors I know them well . HD = heavy duty clutch springs which would make it stiff .

do you recommend a certain clutch? I've seen reviews on hydraulic clutches but I don't know if I want to spend the money for one.

Not needed . Just get a vesrah or barnett rebuild kit and your good and check out your cable to see if its binding .

I 2nd the experience with the bad clutch cable being stiff. You should be able to take off one end of the cable, and move it freely, if you can't move it by hand easy, the cable is junk, and in time will break.
