86' 250r swingarm carrier housing out of round???

When I bought this R, the carrier was trashed. I took everything apart, and getting the carrier out was a complete pita. I had made the assumption it was from all the dirt in there. I cleaned everything up, went to put the old carrier in just as a check, and it seems to be out of round the tiniest bit, i can get the carrier in ( with a block of wood and a ) but it has so much friction you cannot adjust it. My question is, how the F did this happen, and how do you go about fixing something like this?
I've read of people using a pipe expander... but I cannot see that working.

My caliper reads about .10-.20mm out of round.

The swingarm is a plus 3 supposedly durablue ( I highly doubt it ) swingarm.



if needed I can take pictures of exactly where it is out of round. I don't have one of it off the bike.

it should be possible to tweak it back with a press and indicator. yeah the expander won't work unless maybe a small dent or something.

The whole thing isn't bent into an oval or something dumb like that, its just one little section, looks like it got pushed in just enough to screw it up.

I WOULD GET A 3" grinding disc on a high speed grinder and be riding it already....
