Thread: anybody change clutch in YTM 225 DX

    the clutch will fit. the ytm 200's and the ytm225's are almost identical motors, so "most" parts are interchangeable. the big differences are in the top end the cylinder won't swap from a 225 without boring the cases, and the head is different with the motor mount, also the shift shaft is different lengths, but they will swap.

    i no you already got 225 centrifugual clutch but have you thought about upgradin the clutch ? the newer style clutch in the timberwolfs, bear tracker is alot better stronger just another option if you wanna go that route.

    I'd like to but i have to do with what i have, changed it today and 4 bolts broke off in the side cover, so now i need a new side cover spacer thing.. lol

    yea when i change out the centrifugual clutch i got all but one bolt out and it was pina but after lil muscle i finaly got it lol man it was nasty and wore bad but i seen few covers on ebay pretty cheap.
