Whats the real story with that east coast storm? Everyone OK?

They're saying to prepare for 36 hrs which means
    4 high tide cycles.
They just said State hwys to be closed in Connecticut
    to all but emergency vehicles.

Did they really turn off hot water and power in the evac zones in NY?

here is mass we go rain and wind is starting to pick up now. some coastal flooding already but they are saying the next high tide is when the real damaged will happen.

as of now, power is still on. I am sure at some point it will go out and we will be in the dark for awhile.

With the exception of the people very near the coast lines, I actually feel like the Media is really hyping this up and scaring people 300-500 miles inland to go buy generators and supplies..Yeah there may be some minor wind damage inland, but they are making this out to be like that movie wher NYC is buried under 50 feet of snow after a huge tidal wave.

I do know one thing...When the Weather Channel sends that Jim Cantore guy to your town..Get the hell out of dodge..He is like the grim reaper of storms..
That poor dude prolly gets paid like 50K a year to get slammed around on buildings in 75MPH winds..
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

You guys up through Central PA and Upstate NY best take cover, if she goes straight up the Susquehanna Valley like the charts show its going to get rough, "Agnes" rough we are about 200-250 miles south east of the eye and are getting 40-50mph gusts already with a steady wind of about 25mph it should pick up here a bit just after landfall until she turns north again

My laptop still has a plug in for a copper phone wire and dial up.

I was able to use that with a member in Connecticut last year and keep him
posted about that odd snow storm last year.

His power was out but he had some battery left and a buried phone line
so I was able to keep him posted from the west coast.

Nice to have an old fashioned plug in the wall phone for times like this too.
