When you re-set the valves, did you pull the little plugs on the stator cover, turn the motor over with a 17mm socket, and allign the "T" mark to top dead center? You need to be sure the piston is at TDC before adjusting them, otherwise you could be adjusting them while one valve is slightly open on intake or exhaust stroke. I would think if you did it incorrectly the top end would be very noisy, but it would also make it harder to start. Be sure to do a plug chop before riding her too hard. I just put a DG pipe on mine, rebuilt the top end with high comp piston, and took it for a ride. It is running lean on mid range (Needle Jet circuit) and also on top end (main jet). I havent gotten to a shop yet to pick up a couple sizes larger main jet, but after that I plan to raise the needle clip one position in hopes to take care of the midrange lean condition. Let me know what you find! Looks really nice! ---- Jon
