Hubs for 8 inch rims different then 9 inch rims?

I require some assistance. The 8 inch Honda rims for atcs, theres the hubs for them. I have a 1982 atc 200 that has the 8 inch rims on it. I need to know if I need to get new hubs when I install 9 inch rims. So what I am saying is that, Are the hubs a different pattern for the 8 inch rims and 9 inch rims or are they the same?
    Thanks

You have to measure the hub pattern on your rims. A lot of those particular Hondas are 4x110 I think, but don't quote me on that. There are many different size hub patterns. For example, there's 4x144, 4x156, 4x110, and 4x4. I'm sure there are many more than that as well.

some of the 9" rims require an acorn style nut like a car. on my 200x, they have nylon nuts and my buddy's 350x have the acorn style nuts. the rims do interchange if they're the same bolt pattern like fabio said.

like was said before really you have to measure... its hard to tell what may have been swapped around over the years... but having said that...

    My 185s has 22 x 11 x 8 tires w/ 8" rims and 4 x 110mm hubs...
    my 200es has 9" rims with 4 x 140mm hubs...

so when i discovered that someone had put 8" rims on the rear of my Big Red
I had to find the larger 25 x 12 x 9 tires with the 9" 4 x 140mm hubs as well to get them to stock sizes.
    Thanks,
    Chris
