I got SOCOM II the day it came out and have been hooked ever since.... does anyone else play it online, if so, add me to your friends list

Hell yeah! Socom and Socom II...Been playing it since it came out. I'm usually on saturday nights, but my dsl gets hooked up the 17th of december and then you will see me on all the time. Right now, we have a socom get together every saturday night, order some papa johns, get some corona, and play 3 or 4 ps2's side by side online with our router. It kicks ass! I go by *CoronA*LIME of the CoronA clan, its a small kicked back clan. We don't get into the wars and all that crap. If we get into it with another clan, then we'll do a war. I'm sure I'll see ya on there, whats your ranking? Mine was 2544 last I checked, but the standings are always messed up. You can play one game and drop to 10,000. I watched my bud go from 25,000 to 86,000 after 4 sets and he got mvp on 2 of the sets...they still have some glitches, but the game rules!

alright cool, i am ranked 30k on one of my accounts and and working on going down with my other (went from 15k to 71k in one night.....)

well i have heard alot about this game, and i guess now would be a good time to ask......i have a ps2, and can anyone explain to me what i need to get in order to do play this online and everything.....just buy the game and a router? or what? i have cable connection...

84r, you need socom II, a network adapter for the ps2, and I would buy a linksys 4 port router (model no. BEFSR41). The router is nice so you don't have to unplug the computer all the time. Once you get the stuff, just pm me and I'll help you get it going if you need help. It's very simple, so I'm sure you'll figure it out fine.

I got socom II recently too...

Fun game. Right now I go under Conklin! as a name. Look for me one of these nights. I just started and am still getting the hang of it (This isnt quake!! Using a gamepad for a competitive online fps is kinda wierd but I still manage to get atleast 3 or 4 kills before im pikced off).
