Kingman, AZ Southwest National Sand Drags

Event will take place next weekend 16-18 on the northside of Kingman follow the historic route 66 north out of town till the last stop light hang a left into the desert and your there. I believe classes range from the nitro top fuel cars down to atvs. Final registration will be Saturday morning so I've been told dont qoute me on it. If anyone in the tri-state area wants to come up and watch or compete I've got a place to park and crash.

Here's a link to the 2013 events at the Arizona Route 66 Motorsports Park. Hoping for a tt or oval flat track, if anyone in close proximity would be interested in putting a group together to promote an atv/atc event in this region let me know. http://www.facebook.com/#!/kingmansanddrags?fref=ts

Another weekend of racing coming up this Friday Saturday and Sunday. Friday Practice, Saturday Qualifying and Sunday Eliminations. Anyone around Northwest AZ come out and watch or race, entry fee last time was $40 well worth it too me and you can make as many practice runs as you want on Friday.

Another sand drag coming up in June on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th. Gates open at 4 pm and raciing will be at night this time so bring a flashlight or generator. Sport atv class is $40 and pro atv I believe isnt much more if not the same hope to see some more 3WW people out there. Its free to camp at the track and theres plenty of hotels to stay at for fairly cheap in town. I've got an extra room and plenty of couches and floor space to crash on as well if you dont feel like campin out.

Still looking for more trikes to compete at the night races on the 7th and 8th. We're roughly 2 hours from Vegas and 3 from phoenix so if you've got nothing planned for Friday and Saturday night load up and come to Kingman. Not sure how long the racing will go into the night but I've got a generator to light up the pits and there's plenty of space to park and camp so let me know.

Sounds great, is the track still out where the 2 train tracks cross? We used to race there alot in the late 80s early 90s, super track!!

Not exactly sure where that might have been but now you just get off on the Andy Devine Exit aka Route 66 and drive North out of town until you hit the last stop light in the middle of no where roughly about 4 or 5 miles. The airport/industrial area will be on the right and you want to turn left from there and drive out into the desert, just have to follow the asphault tailings all the way to the track.

ID:	169800 They built a new race park north of town, they had it at the fairgrounds in the center of town but too many people complained about the noise. The new park is out in the middle of the desert away from everything only real problems is that the road is a little bumpy getting out there (typical gravel road) and it gets pretty dusty if the wind picks up other than that its pretty nice. It's an up and coming place so they're just building on it as they go time and money issues but as it gets better things will improve.
