200es with plow... how did I do?

It needs an air filter and core, and rear brake work. It runs, but not great. Should be an easy fix. I also need to find a muffler for it, and do a WHOLE lot of detailing. I may just adapt the plow to fit the nicer of my pair of 250BRs, and swap the rims and tires if they will interchange. I figure the plow is worth what I paid for the entire rig.

Wrong.. That plow is the way it should be. The plow has a bolt welded into the plate that sticks up for the pivot point. There is no way to mount the blade to the top of the hoop, the top of the hoop also has a recess cut into the top plate for the washer and nut that goes on the pivot bolt. Also if you flipped it and bolted it down from the top then the trip springs would be on the bottom of the plow, that wouldn't work.. Looks just like mine.

You stole that thing, i could get $400 for the plow alone!!



I just got done pushing a huge amount of snow around with mine last night and today. Its a plowing machine.. I put v-bar chains on the tires and it was unstoppable.

I still have to bring this plow trike home. Can anyone offer any suggestions as how to get it to fit on a Chevy S10 shortbox pickup? At 60 miles one way, I only want to make one trip. Best idea I have come up with is to remove the blade from the frame, load the trike front first, and place the blade along side of the trike. I realize that the plow frame will cause the trike to sit back a bit, just don't know if the rear wheels will be on the tailgate, and if so, if it would be safe to transport in that fashion. Any input will be greatly appreciated!

The plow is really easy to remove, i replied to your PM as well. If nothing else just remove the pivot bolt nut and drop the blade off, but removing the entire plow from the trike takes only a couple minutes tops.

Oh you mentioned a muffler... DG Exhaust makes a complete bolt on replacement, i bought one of their's from Dennis Kirks for like $150 shipped on sale if i remember right. Is it louder than stock? A bit... Does it work great and fit great, Yes!

If your muffler is rotted out the DG will probably even sound quieter... Mine did. Has a nice thumping idle to it now and doesn't get that tinny when revving, i like it.

I actually thought of that, but upon measuring and finding only about a 20" distance from the front of the box to the wheel well, my concern is that the rear rack of the trike would likely break the rear window of the truck. I could be wrong, as I have been before (too many times to count!). Thank you for your help; I will look into your suggestion further.

You got that right, kb! It will be here Sunday, one way or the other. And thanks to your advice, I have a pretty fair idea of what to bring along, and how to take the plow apart. Thanks to all; you have helped a great deal. I have a friend with utility trailer that would would pick this up for $50. I might just run with that...
