bought this speedometer and it has the trip reset knob on it but i can turn it all day long and it wont adjust anything ? can i pop it off somehow and glue it back on ? im thinking it's stripped inside ?![]()

Yeah, you can pull it off Eric but be advised too NOT wiggle left or right when trying to pop it off or more then likely you will also get half the shaft with it.
They pull straight off and are a $*@@!(& to get to pop off.
If you can simply peel the little rubber boot back and confirm shaft ain't spinning when knob rotates you might be a wee bit ahead of the game right there.
I make those replacement knobs and what you asked is exactly how I advise to install our replacement knobs, construction adhesive (like liquid nails adhesive).

But like I said when pulling on the knob, be sure it is a straight pull, no wiggling.
