No starter on my atc250 red. How can I cover the hole?

I bought an atc 250es and there is no starter. I just kick it to ride. How can I cover the hole that the starter goes in? Or do I need to?

Yeah, try to cover it somehow.
Fancy is make a sheet metal cover
    ez is ducttape.

Gotta keep water and junk out but makes me wonder why oil isn't spitting out??

Heck, a dead starter would be perfect and probably free.

New starters are under 50 bucks.

Are you sure there's oil in it?

I wouldnt even mess with covering it.......Throw a starter on it, cheap enough to do it right.....and real easy to!

If you have any access to some Aluminum Backed furnace tape you can clean the case very good and then put 5-6 layers of that tape over the hole. That tape is better at sealing up then duct tape. 5-6 layers and it becomes pretty strong as well.
