    500r frame, motor mounts and pipe mods!?

    Who do i need to talk to about this buisness.LOL i have a few questions about the wiring as well
    ATC RDR 17

    To do it the rite way you should cut the cradle and fab a new one. The pipe.. you use a CR500 one modding with the cut and twist method. Wiring.. the cdi and coil can be zip tied to the frame or new mounts need to made. The lack of space is the problem. Pm me your email and I'll send you pics.

    YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CUT THE BOTTOM OF THE FRAME OFF!!!! i have ridden mine for 11 years and i never cut the bottom of the frame off .......11 years,without any issues frame related,,

    really? you have any pics/build thread so i can see it? aside from the frame..did u have to make new motor mounts/brackets?

    yes you have to make all new brackets,, and mounting tabs for cdi and coil and a few other things,, i built it 13 years ago,, so i can search and see if i still have any pictures,,, i sold it 2 years ago and i know it still gets ridden, and the original frame is still intact. its probably a little less work to cut the bottom of the frame off,, but i didn't want 2 more welded joints when there is room for the motor if you really work at it,,, ,,,
