    86 Tecate 500 build

    I buoght an 86 about two years ago with a blown top end. I have been looking locally for a parts motor but was not trying real hard because I have 3 other projects I am trying to prioritize. Last night I found an 89 kx 500 for $775 about 2 hrs away. I called and asked if it ran and he said it did so I asked if he would take $660 and he said ok. He said he had nothing going on for Christmas so I went and picked it up. We did our big dinner on Christmas eve so my wife did not mind me going as we were just staying home chilling out watching tv. I will pull the motor tomorrow and start mocking it up in the Tecate.
