    i was wondering 85 to 86 250es differences

i can go for a ride on my fathers big red 86, and she picks up speed great, with a worn cam, she does good, weak on the hills unless you have her in a high rpm, but when i get on my 85 big red, she seems slugish, and shes set to a 300 with a 300 fourtrax cam, i can get my dads to rev out, but mine cant, and would carb having anything to do with it, my dads has never been adjust, taken apart, or anything, the carb, timing, and all that is still left factory settings

ive got both years and never noticed any performance differences.. what do you mean " shes set to 300 with a 300 cam ? and yes if your carbs gummed up that will cause poor performance...

haha, i mean, when the 300 fourtrax came out from honda, everyone things, hmm, bigger piston, now shes a 300. hell to the no, a 300 fourtrax motor is the same as a 250 motor, the differences is a bigger cam shaft, and its what i have in mine

Yes you did... There is two types of CDI's with and without the limiter. I found that out engineering a replacement for some.
