    200x cylinder to piston clearnace

I have a200x that was smoking bad when revving the throttle. White smoke, oily plug.
So I am replacing the rings.
    The cyliner measures 64.8 mm
    The piston measures 64.3 mm

Is that normal clearance or do I need a new piston?

You cant make one measurment and call that good...you must measure from top to bottom of cylinder in several different places with proper measuring tools.

are you using a bore gauge or a micrometer? If you are using a micrometer, your measurements will be inaccurate. You will be money ahead to just take it to a shop and get it professionally done.

Stock bore on the 200x cylinder is: 64.990-65.000MM, service limit is 65.100MM
    Stock Piston O.D. is: 64.962 - 64.982MM

so if yours is still smoking, there is no way you are within specifications. Take it to a shop.
