Ignition key won't turn

The ignition key on the 86 125M that I just picked up suddenly would not turn at all no matter how much jiggling and repositioning that I tried. After searches on the internet, I tried lubing it with silicone spray and then gave it some taps on the face of it with a screwdriver handle. It then turned quite easily. I guess if a pin gets stuck out of place it just not want to turn at all.

Good to hear you got it fixed. You should try freeing up one thats been sitting outside for years. I went through one a while back that the owner had the key, but it was sitting behind a garage for about five years exposed, i kept spraying PB Blaster into the key switch every day and trying to move it, figured if it didn't free up it was no loss, the PB Blaster did finally free it up, then i took the switch apart and cleaned it and greased it.
