    86 200x cam

    I have a 86 200x and the cam has some wear on it does anyone make a replacment

    You can get a good used one anywhere. But WHY did it fail? low on oil?

    Adjust the valves to spec once in awhile.

    Keep your oil change on point as well as the oil filter rotor.

    You can get 86 cams and even upgrade a bit to a 10.5 to 1 higher compression (POWROLL, MEGACYCLE) all sell nice midrange power cam to complement the piston.

    86/87 are different animals, the valves are so easy to adjust. Change your oil often and keep it filled.

    If you open it up and find head journal wear, every single piece MUST be replaced. If you don't, that one worn part will ruin it all again.

    I may even have a good stock cam if you cannot get one and choose to stay stock.....

    thanks man I only rode it once and it was smoking bad so I tore it down piston was smoked and cam and rockers don't look so good

    I bet they were either not getting oil or were adjusted too tight.

    do you know if xr 200 cams will fit or 200sx quad
