New to the board
Hello - new member here. When I depress the start switch on my 1985 250ES there is a second or two hesitation before the starter engages. Once the starter engages it turns strong and starts the engine with ease. I have a new battery with a full charge. I am not sure if it is the starter switch or the starter solenoid. Any advice?
Also, I would like to have my Big Red restored to factory condition. Anyone know of a reliable person in the SW Ohio area that is capable of doing this?

i would try spraying a little wd-40 on the swith and possibly take it off the handlebars and spray it... rust and mudd dont help switches... good luck
