clean the carb and gas tank, change the oil in the transmission, change the oil in the oil injection tank, new plug. here's a link to a manual http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/ if you need more help let me know.

make sure all the oil injection lines are hooked up to the motor or run premix in it for the first start up.

Do you recommend putting anything down the cylinder?
Thanks for the quick reply's!
I would put some oil in the cylinder personally. Preferably 2-stroke oil, but motor oil, ATF, or Mystery Oil will work too.
I'm with old-yellow on the premix... make sure you run that until you have adjusted and made sure the pump and lines are in good condition and working. These Yamaha auto lube systems are generally very reliable if maintained. Or if you choose to remove the system, be sure to disconnect the pump cable from the pump. There a free manual available on the homepage here. Good luck with your new project.
Thanks for all the help!
do any off you know what the compression should be?
Thanks a million.
Compression should be right around 100psi on the YT125. Anything below 90 would concern me. When checking compression, make sure you hold the throttle wide open also.
Got it started today!
but it is smoking white smoke sooooo bad like you can t even see behind it...
So i just shut it off it was only running about 2 mins..
Is this normal?
Thanks
no but it might be cleaning out anything that is sitting in the lower part of the crank case but at the same time if it dont quit after a ten minutes or dont look like its clearing up, then it could have a bad crankshaft seal and is burning the oil from the transmission i would check the fluid and see if its full, then i would try running it longer to see if it will stop.

Is it going to harm the engine by doing this?
It has tons of compression....
Thanks
You will be fine, just ride it around awhile and see if it clears up. Could also be a mixture of spooge and other things like mice nests ect burning out of the exhaust. If you want to make sure the pipe is all cleaned out, build a small bon fire and let the pipe cook in there for awhile. All the built up spooge and sludge will burn right out. If you suspect the right side crank seal is bad, you can do a leak down test with a hand vacuum/pressure pump and some rubber caps from the hardware store. Just be sure to not go above 6psi, or you will pop the seals.
If you're not familiar with two strokes, they smoke a lot. If that thing hasn't been running in years then it's going to smoke even more. Don't be afraid of the smoke, just warm it up and ride it. More than likely it'll clear out within 5-10 minutes.
It cleared up after a bit i removed the oil injector and now am running pre mix i also put a vacuum cap on the carb where the oil used to go..
Took the carb apart and seen that the float needle was missing do any of you know where i would be able to get one for the stock mikuni carb?
Thanks
Also it was flooding that's why i took it apart.
and bogging once out of first gear.
Thanks
Glad you got it all cleared out. Not sure what year you have but heres a link to Bike Bandits diagram. #5
