Ok, i was talking to my Physics teacher (i have the same teacher in Geometry) and we were talking about the old 3 wheelers, and i told him about a stator going bad on my 200x (he owned a 1985 350x and a 1983 200x) so i replaced it and was telling him about me going riding and hes like " i used to break my stators in"......im sure its possible to break them in.....but who in their right mind would break in electrical.....either it works or it doesnt right????

Most of the physicists that I know are more than a little strange with most hearing voices that tell them to "break in" electrical equipment. lol just kidding. Find out what he means by "Breaking in". I started as a physics major w/ a chemistry minor, but swapped because the later physics courses are just too weird when your dealing with "imaginary numbers", and Einsteins theories. Pretty complicated stuff.

I think that while it is a true statement, I not sure to what extent it will help the stator. Will it make it last ten minutes longer, or ten years ? These are the unknowns that need to be answered before anyone can conclude if its worth it.

Similar to waxing down your trike to lessen wind resistance. It is a sound theory, but is there any real noticeable difference ?, probably not.

Wow! Please guys, I made it up as a joke to prove three points.

1. Be careful when you ask advice because BS'ers can be abundant, and anybody can sound like they know what they are talking about if they use the right vocabulary.

2. People will immediately chime in on your posts when you are requesting information, parroting something they heard somewhere else, without any personal knowledge. All you have to do is wait a month, and someone will have read this, and will be posting this bogus advice on other boards.

3. This one was not proven here - but I expected to see a bunch of people full heartedly debating this theory as though they were experts on "electron molectular impedance", and several "yeah, that happened to my uncle" posts.
