Cool pics. You're right, that is the wrong tank. Did you buy that off of some Hells' Angel, what's up with that tank logo? LOL Hopefully they didn't chop up the mounts under that tank. Great find.

It's an 500 XL/XR tank. When you ordered the frame, you could specify what tank you were going to use and they'd weld the appropriate mounting tabs.

Interesting. Well plans are to swap out to the 185S tank soon, and dad wants a narrow front tire like all his buddies haha, so a triple/fork swap will be in the works after the invasion. I hope the mounts will still line up for both the 185 and 200x tanks. I'm not too worried, anything can be changed/moved if needed. The bike already has some botched repairs that will need to be corrected eventually. We'll get some straight answers as far as mount location from the builder and go from there. After closer inspection, it's not very far off mechanically. A fork swap will happen. I have a few sets of 81/82R forks that aren't blown, these are. Needs a sprocket, got em. Needs front brake master, got it. Needs rear brake master, have it. This bike is a combo of 185S, 82 250R, and xr500. Luckily, I've got an abundance of fooler and 185 parts. It's not gonna win any beauty contests, but it will get up the hill faster than most of the bikes at the hill
