    Angry 1983 Honda ATC 110 *WON'T START*

bought this from a buddy real cheap. Replaced the piston and rings fixed a valve(bent abit) set the timing, also put a new gasket kit on it. The bike has spark and is getting fuel but still wont start. But everytime i pull it over gas sprays (resembles mist) into the airbox... Does anyone have any suggestions on what i could do to get it running or whats stopping it from running??

    Did you check Vale clearance?

If its blowing the gas out then it sounds like timing, or the intake valve isnt closing.

I set the timing perfectly, so out of your two suggestions it's probably the valve..

which valve bent. sometimes when the valve bends it can mess up seat. if you have fuel coming back through carb and timing is right it sounds like valve seat is bad and when engine is coming up on tdc it is pushing air/fuel mix back through intake valve. pressure test it
pull schrader valve (like in valve stem) out of a compression tester hose and thread into cylinder and hook up air from compressor. to do this you either have to pull cam or put breaker bar on crankshaft and hold it at top dead center (valves closed). listen for air coming from intake or exhaust.

That would be my guess as well, valve or valve seat, you didn't mention which valve you replaced but if it was the intake i would do a compression test and look it over good. I only suggested the timing because its seems like thats always the problem when the top end has been taken apart, its not always apparent how to get it right the first time.

The intake valve was bent, a previous owner must of put a long spark plug in it. I'm going to try and get a new valve tomorrow from a friend and see how that works if it does ill post here with a start up video if not ill just post...

another valve wont help if you already replaced it with new one. we are talking about the valve seats in the cylinder head. should make tight seal. if you already took it apart, put head upside down in a vise (valves up) and pour gas in the combustion chamber until it is filled up above the valves. it should hold the fuel. if it leaks out, check intake and exaust ports for fuel to see which is leaking. if it leaks you need new head or take it to shop and have new valve seats cut.
