1984 200x what carb to get...... best exhaust to get..... thanks!!!!!!
Ok so I love three Wheelers and traded a perfect 2001 blaster for an 1984 honda 200x I know he got the better end of the deal....... but would rather have 3 wheels than 4 lol. So he said that it just needed to be timed...lol and his friend put some new like 15 dollar part in the top end so I messed with it for a day and yes it was out of time but couldn't get the time chain back on so I took it to a shop so they could check it out. So got the call back with some good and some bad news it has a new piston and it all measures out good (stock size) but because it was off time when they tried to start it it bent the valves he also said they were excessively warn and would of had to be replaced any ways and needed a new timing chain and timing chain guide also some other parts like cdi cover and alternater inspection hole cover and a top end gasket kit so....... all that done and re timed ready to go is going to set me back like 300 bucks but should run like a champ after the work.
So back to my question I want to know what is the best
1. carb for it, it looks like a cheap Chinese carb was put on, so should I get a mukuni on for 39.99, or a keihin stock oem one and rebuild it
2. exhaust has the stock one but they welded so gay crab on the end should I go with bassani, supertrap, dg
want to keep it so it is very reliable but a little goodies on it thanks everyone

Basanni. Or Bill's. Or Sparks. All old school.
Carb? No idea. If the Chinese one works, just jet it to match the pipe.

here is a pic of the 200x

yea from the things I have read looks like basanni is a good choice

Since you are upgrading the pipe, I would personally put a mikuni on it. Can't believe they are so inexpensive. Jets are easy to find and they are better in high perf applications. I know nothing about the Chinese carbs but would use the Mikuni no matter what. Hopefully it's about 2 mm large than stock.
Just saw new mikunis on ebay for $29.95. Where have I been?.
You can Ebay the chinese one.
Good luck with it.

Thanks for the thoughts that is what I was thinking is for the price the mikuni is a great deal

I would get an oem 24mm and rejet it for your pipe. Best pipes out there are supertrapp, sparks or Powroll. I have seen dyno's on all three with the supertrapp being the best.

hello
looks like enlarging the carb with either a kehin or mikuni is easier said than done. Looks like it involves getting a new intake manifold etc.
Try the search feature on this site to see what you can find. You can also convert to a spigot [round] mount type. I would get a 28 max but preferably a 27 or 26. You will definitely notice the difference along with the pipe upgrade.
If your chinese one is larger than 24 then the intake may have already been changed so the mikuni should fit.
At the end of the day you will not notice any difference between the aftermarket pipes especially on a stock type motor. Maybe just get the dg muffler to fit the stock pipe. The pipe and muffler is better by a little.
Try bassani pipes and DG.
here's the dg stuff below
