i'm rebuild my trike, got into the motor and it does not look good. i need and new cam and bearing, timing chain and guide, piston, and rocker arms, possibly even a new rod. I really don't want to spend alot on the parts, like hopping it up alot. i wouldn't mind hopping it up a little though. please help with sme places to get some stuff for cheap.

If your cam and rockers are bad, I would suspect the cylinder head is bad also. You wouldn't want to put a new cam and rockers into a whooped put clyinder head. Mine was bad also when I re-built.
