    yamaha tri-zinger ?

what years and colors were made and what should the compression be and what is the least that will allow it to run ? also what should be looked at when giving it a once over ?

they sold 84-85 they came in yellow, red, blue and white in Canada just check the normal things for a two stroke and make sure the oil injection is working or premix, look for slop in the rear end because they are shaft drive and you dont want it to eat the gears in the rear differential. as far as the compression am unsure heres a link to a manual http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

    At ease that crap.

The Zingers are fantastic machines. I'd take one over a 70 any day. Mine is bone stock and it hauls me around with ease. It steams right up the hill to the Shoe Tree at Haspin as well as the Devil's Backbone (I made that second part up). It amazes me the hills this thing will tackle with a skilled, nimble rider.

They came in red, yellow, blue, and the non-US white. One very common issue if it suffers power loss is a clogged exhaust. It is somewhat restrictive and the two stroke oil left over after combustion builds up to the point of clogging. The factory oil injection is a nice convenience but very generous with how much oil it adds. You can remove the exhaust and throw it in a fire or hang it up with a propane torch shooting into it. This will burn out the built up oil. The factory front fenders are hard to come by and unavailable new. Someone told me that they are being reproduced, but I haven't seen that yet. I don't know the specs on the compression, sorry. I've had mine for probably 6 or 7 years and all I've ever had to do was clean the carb. People modify them with aftermarket exhaust, wider axles, and some remove the oil injection. To each their own but I really like mine bone stock. A lot of guys will tell you to ditch the oil injection but I like it.

If I seem redundant, I was posting at the same time as Old Yellow.
