Hey Guys, kind of new around here, been reading this site for a long time, and finally for my first 250r last fall. Complete basket case. Motor torn apart by previous owner and left to someone else to finish. Needed a swingarm bolt, and some other misc tlc. Well, rear carrier was cracked in two when removed, so I received an aftermarket BOSS dual row carrier as a gift. Well, as I started the rear re-assembly, things arent adding up. Or lining up so to speak. After carrier install, caliper stay and circlip, and axle are in, I put on the brake hub. It slides into the splines fine, and hits the bearing surface just like it should. The problem is, when I assemble the caliper, there is a space between the caliper and the stay. At least 1/8th inch. if not a little more. My question is, what could cause this? Could the preassembled carrier bearings not me all the way pressed correctly? Do i need to make spacers for the caliper bolts for the stay? Or should i contact sellers company about if maybe the wrong carrier? Thanks for any help if anyone has any that is!
