Or is this part supposed to have 0 ohms of resistance?

I can make contact to both conducters using my MM. Even when I insert a spark plug (which has 1.4 ohms R), I get a complete open.

i would assume its no good is you get no continuity at all

but i do know that plug wires have a resistance that varys with length

I have some R on the plug wire, but this thing...complete open. Just have never seen it before, there's really nothing to go wrong with this.

yes, and it will go bad if you try to start the engine without a plug installed,or one installed,and not grounded to somekind of bolt .they are like $5 at the dealer and some models have differet resistances :o
