    What do you think???

I put the atc 90 back together tonight after putting new rings in and it started and idled good. After letting it warm up for about 20 minutes i put it in gear and drove it about 20 feet and it made a noise from the exaust that sounded just like one of those cork pop guns that kids play with. I pulled the recoil 4 or 5 times after that and it didn't start.

I haven't done anything else because its late and i've been out there all night. I just said screw it and pushed it back in the garage.

Any ideas of things to look at when I go back out tomorrow? Im thinking maybe timing?

It could be timing... when it idled was it idling smooth? After rebuilding mine, my 110's timing (basically the same engine) was ONE gear tooth off and it idled but spat and died when throttled.

    OR...

Have you checked your timing chain tensioner? Was it reset back to stock specs? Could it have not been reset tight enough letting the chain slip a few teeth once you took off, causing the pop and killing the engine?

I figured it out. The lobe on the pulse generator, under the base plate that the points are on, came off enough to stop spinning. There must have been a washer to keep it on there originally. Slid it back on and it runs great. A little cold riding down the street at 20 degrees. But im glad it runs now.
