I just bought back my 200es big red and when it shifts it jerks into gear, does the clutch need adjusting? does anybody know.

Definitely check the clutch adjustment, most common issue on the ones i have worked on. Mine was like that when i bought it also.

Ok, explain this jerking a bit better then... When you go to shift you let off the throttle and then tap the shifter down to go to second, when you get back on the gas it jerks hard or what? It almost sounds like your on the gas when shifting or to hard on the gas after shifting it. Otherwise you might need a new clutch.

Great! Adjusting the clutch on these can be a bit tricky because when you tighten the nut it can turn the screw some and back it off too far. Usually takes me 2-3 tries to get it right when i do it.
