well,it runs good, but needs a valve adjustment for right now.doing that tonight.havent had a whole lot of time to tinker on it,so as far as anything else im not really sure..the only thing i see that is banged up is the rear fenders,my rear fenders are there, but stiched up pretty good.i dont want to buy an aftermarket set, they are too shiny, trying to keep the "original shine" look to it right now.. the key is missing from the key switch,i have it unpluged to ride it,and i did find out 86 is the first year to have the fork/helmet lock too,so guess i will need the key to match that...im sure there are some other little trinkets i will find out i need as the inspection process continues.

Heres a couple pics......thought the valves were in need of adjustment but I am sadly mistaken I think...they were way tight, had to loosen them up quite a bit to get the gauge in them.I still have quite the ticking noise going on still.its all topend noise still, sounds like the valves are super sloppy...im new to the 250 motors so any help would be greatly appreciated.I know its not gonna be a speed demon, but its like a slug.almost like its starving for more? It deff doesnt seem to be revving up all the way.ihavent cleaned the carb yet, just kind of seeing what wAs going on.

Thanks, thats kind of what I was reading and thought it might be.im gonna check with a friend of mine on how much he would charge to put some new stuff in it for me.or may try and fix it myself.I traded a cub cadet lawn tractor for it!haha! And thanks, but that would be my dads truck, bought it for my nephew., brought it up from texas.i have a 69 el camino next to it.as long as he keeps spending our inheritance on cool stuff, i dont mind! Haha!QUOTE=124356q;1202924]welcome,,,,not bad...i love the 86's. might be the timing chain your hearing also. and nice truck....you got it all brother....[/QUOTE]

I agree with 1233456q, probably timing chain, also nice truck. I'm guessing its about a '65? My dad has a pretty nice '66 GMC long bed that he bobbed. But anyway, back to your trike, great looking machine!

if your not familiar with splitting cases and tranny work i would go for a top end swap. im pretty sure the 85 engines are different so make sure its an 86....
