    What are my options?

    As far as painting, powder coating, polishing an air cooled engine, what are my options. I've seen some say go ahead and powder coat. Some say it holds in to much heat. Just paint it. Don't paint it, it will just flake off. It seems no one has a definite answer. Can I blast without fear of damaging parts? Just looking for some direction to end up with a nice clean looking engine.

    Blast and powder is the only way I roll. To each his own though. Everyone has an opinion and enjoys doing things their way.

    I love the powder coating. We use to do all of our racecar chassis that way, so I know it holds up. The major thing I was worried about was heat, doing the head and jug.

    The heat won't be an issue. I have done it several times, all with good results.
