    I can almost guarantee all you need is a left side gasket and the shifter pin. I've done this one 4 different es /sx's when they wont shift...

    pin part number. PIN
    24652-HA0-000

    All you need to do is drain the oil, take the left case off, pull the shifter shaft out, behind that you will see a broken pin, pull it out with a screwdriver ( will be loose already ) and put a new one in.

    The reason this happens is that honda didn't use enough torque when installing the pin, the pin starts to back out of its threads from vibration, the pin will bend , and make the shifter not return sometimes, then it will break and wont shift at all.

    I've done this on both my ES and SX, and a few of my friends...
