yamha yt125 help

So awhile ago I was riding my Yamaha yt125 and when I shifted in to 3rd gear and their was no 3rd gear but you could here
Something rattling around then it found a gear and worked fine but has then I was riding around with the choke on and it died I
Did get it to run but it dies after a minute or so. Any help? Did it flood out? Did I grind some teeth of 3rd gear?

i would check the normal culprits down for it dieing, as far as the tranny its very possible that you ground the gear a little as for it not engaging Ive had that happen with 1980-1981 engines before but it has never seam to persist or get worse for me.

Well I got it to run and shift okay but it bogs out and its blowing out some green stuff out the muffler
