    Can you use a '86 250R switch on an '85 350X?

I saw a pic of an '85 350X with an '86 switch. Not sure if the switch is from an R or a 200x but its the newer style colored button switch.

Can you use that switch on a 350X?

The R and X ones are available.

Also are these OEM or some knock off? 59 bucks is pretty cheap:

You can but you will need to reconfigure the plugs. For the most part, the switch assemblies wer the same, it was the harnesses coming out of the switch that were different. Whats your electrical skills? Do you have a meter and know how to use it? I have a TRX switch on one of my SXs. I had to make a couple of changes but it works great and I only paid 30.00 for it new.
