    250r

    Yesterday I found an 83 250r for sale.by one of my buddies he said it runs real good only problem is yhe plastics were painted white qnd the paint is chipping and.the headlight is missing. He is asking $250 for it is this a good deal is there.anything I should look out for with these trikes.

    That is a super deal. The engine alone is worth $500 if it runs. You can get new plastic's yet for them. Headlights are out there just a little harder to find.

    Are the plastics easy to repaint they have no cracks

    Yes, easy to repaint but paint doesn't stick too well to the plastics.

    Better to strip and polish them if they're not cracked.

    Please, DO Not paint the plastics, just take some time cleaning and polishing them. There are a # of threads on how to do it. There are lots of knowlegable people on here that can lend advice.
