83 ATC 200e Big Red --- New Member (Maryland)

hey guys I joined a while back but never got a chance to write on the forums.. anyways I bought an 83 honda 200e big red and I have been working on completely restoring it. I have it running now but its gonna need a cam chain replacement and I am just gonna go ahead and rebuild the top end since I am gonna have it all apart anyway. I bought a new carb from ebay.. new cam chain.. a k&N air filter.. new O - ring chain.. new rear axle bearings.. new rear sprocket.. patched the gas tank.. new sub transmission case from ebay (old one had big crack in bottom) ordered top end gasket kit and sub transmission gasket.. I need a new seat for it and will most likely replace all of the
plastics cuz its pretty rough looking. Also I am gonna need a new front triple tree or possibly just the shocks that slide in it because the ones I got is completely
shot. but anyways my name is Jeremy and am glad to be part of the community =)

I recently acquired a similar machine myself! I got mine up here in NY tho, and it was a bit of a rust bucket! I hope you don't have to spend *quite* so many hours =D

Welcome...I just did a complete restore on an 83 200e myself - they're a pain to find new parts for. I have a few nicer parts left over (nothing new) in you're interested...let me know what you need and I may have it. You should post some pics up so we can all see what you're starting out with...guys here love the before and after pictures. I believe there's another member here selling a 200e seat that's in decent shape...most of the pans are rotted out..he's also parting out the rest pf the machine in case you're missing something.

hey i just got a 85 250es and i need all new plastic besides the trunk and a headlight housing.. do u got any of this layin around? i also have a couple 85 250sx between the two of those im making one hopeffully and i got an 85 atc 70, an 83 honda 200e and a 82 185s.. been workin on all of em
