85 yamaha 225 dr vs 86 yamaha 225 dx parts

hello,i'm rebuilding 2 85 yamaha 225 dr's & the one has a blown rear end so i got my hands on a 86 yamaha 225 dx rear end. i'm not sure now looking at them if i could use this rear for my dr. any help would be great.thx jim

yes you can they are the exact same rear end

I can't get the dr shaft in the dx sway arm,it's to big & there both male ends.
