Does anyone know why the tri -z clutch shaft (main shaft) transmission bearing has a seal on both sides? I would think it should have none so it can pick up transmission lube. Thanks.

Don't worry...just run watcha brung...
I think its too keep oil slosh and foaming to a minimum and Venting pressure closer to the vent, they do get lubricated just fine with the "seal" in them...have also run them without them in...Guess the engineer that day decided it was a good thing to have...![]()

I left the seal in the clutch basket side since it looked like that side of the bearing would be mostly covered by the basket thrust washer anyway, I removed the inner seal to allow the trans gears to carry up lube for the bearing...this should be the best of both worlds.
