200x exhaust

well I just bought this 85 auto200x and the only thing im worried about is that theres no muffler its just straight piped all the way out and I was wondering if this is gunna mess up the valves or anything like that . all I know is it sounds pretty awesome .

Hello

As long as it is jetted properly it will not cause any problems however it may, just may not being getting optimum performance out of it. A muffler is considered to be part of a tuned ex in all but straight pipe specific applications ie drag racing etc. You will notice the top fuel cars run short straight pipes. That being said, removing any stock spark arrester type muffler is an hp killer.

thank you. I think I will just find a stock muffler to put on seems like the safer option.

You might consider a universal aftermarket one but if you are not flogging it and are just cruising than stock is fine. If you post a request for one here you may find someone here that has one reasonable.
