    85 225dr carb help

    i got my 85 225dr running perfect now but the needle and seat is worn out cuz the bowl of the carb over flows no matter where i ajust the floats it just leaks out. i was looking on bike bandet and cheep cycle parts but all i can find is that it says is needle valve assembly is that the needle and the seat or just the needle because i cant find just the seat by it self here is the link to the bike bandit one it is number 20 on the list

    Hello

    They are ALWAYS sold as an assembly. If yours has a rubber tip the tip is worn out.

    They also often get debris stuck in there from the gas tank. Drain the bowl via drain screw in to dlear glass. Gas should look almost clear no debris. bad gas is apple juice color.

    thank you and i already cleaned under the needle and there was stuff there but it still leaks so i think it is just wore out

    Yes it probably is but keep in mind the filter in the tank goes bad and small rust particles etc can INSTANTLY plug it up again causing another leak. The fact that it already had some speaks for itself.

    Do you have an old vintage bronco? Sport? Uncut fenders [not likely]? I love those things.
