from what i can see in the manual the 85 has 6 individual connectors, the 86 has two multi prong connnectors so you can probably modify it with the two manuals to make it work if you wanna go that route
2- 85 Tri-Z's black and Yellow
2- 85 250SX's
1- 85 200X
3-ATC 70's
2- 85 tri-zinger's who needs some parts

Never done it ,but some simple wiring would surely get it on there. I know you won't go for this because of the starter button. But last I knew TRX 250EX switches were like $28. New from Honda.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

There is a kit you can buy (someone posted it up), which allows you to change ends with covered bullet connectors and so forth.
All you need is a wiring diagram and that kit if you want it to look professional.
