New Member out in Las Vegas

Hey guys. The name's Brandon. Recently took an '84 YTM200 off someone's hands and needs a little TLC, and I needed a project. Have a few questions about some things I want to do to it.

1. I'm going to rebuild the engine and want to put a Wiseco 10.25-1 piston in. My question is...with the bump of +20% compression, is there anything else I need to do to the jug?

2. Carb obviously needs some de-gunking. I found a jet kit (Tri Moto ATC 6 Sigma Custom Carburetor Carb Stage 1-3 Jet Kit) and was wondering if that even is worth the $40 to do.

3. I want to change out the friction discs to Kevlar...any comments on this would be good.

I got stuck in the honda arena so I can't really comment.
I've found that the search box works great to get a lot of info at one time.

welcome to the boards! there is alot of info around here on those bikes, just do some searches. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of what you need to do to get her up and running strong again though! toss some pics up when you get a chance too, and good luck !
