There is a clutch adjustment in the manual, also consider checking your idle speed..it may be too high!
Both will cause it to clunk.

I second that, adjust the clutch and the idle... These are a semi-auto trans so they engage with rpm, think centrifugal clutch like on a snowmobile for a comparison, if your idle is too high its right on the verge of gripping and when you tap it in gear she clunks hard. When its all adjusted right you can have it idling and tap it into first gear and it won't even clunk or move for that that matter until you get on the gas.
