    kxt spark gone

    Hey guys,
I'm helping a buddy work on his 1986 kxt250r and it has no spark...changed coil,no help.
Any ideas or does anyone know what the igniter coil should read on a ohm meter? does anybody have any ignition parts they would sell?

    Thanks for any help,
    John

99% of the time no spark on the KXT means a bad stator. They burn out a lot. You can get them for $40 from Ricky Stator. You said you replaced the coil, so I'm not sure if you meant the stator or ignition coil. I have a manual at home so I might be able to find an ohm reading for the ignition coil. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to bench test the cdi. If everything else works I think you just have to replace it.

Mine did same thing, was the stator. You can check ohm output on stator to see if its good or not..
