I had my tri-moto idling and the headlight and taillight were on and in good working order, and the next thing i know, both the lights went out at the same time. Does anybody know what this could be? Just a loose connection?

Either a loose connection, or your voltage regulator shorted which sent full power to your lights, and burnt them out.
