    85 250r stock carb choke lever

    It's been a long time since having one of these stock roundslides and I'm a bit confused. I thought the choke lever up- plunger down was choke on. But I started the bike today and had opposite results.

    Bike will only run with lever up. So is choke 'on' lever up or lever down? . Did a search and got mixed results, which left me more confused.

    No you are backwards see oem owners manual pg 27 below. down = choke on, up = choke off.

    Thank You, Barnett. You answered my question and gave me the link to an owners manual, which I couldn't find last night.

    My memory is leaving quicker than the space shuttle, but in this case I'm really glad I'm wrong. Just a couple of heat cycles so far, but seems to run good.--With the choke off.
