Breather box on 84' big red 200es

Does anyone know how I can make a new box that is more durable and can be sealed good. Maybe like out of PVC pipe or something?

More durable? How so? The stock airbox doesn't have much for problems if you ask me, and the lid seals quite well on them.

Well the rubber neck that it breathes from doesn't seal good on the end of a PVC pipe. Any suggestions?

You could make an adapter, but if your trying to make a snorkel for deep water you have a lot of other things to worry about, crankcase breather, rear diff breather, making sure there is no leaks for water to get into the motor elsewhere. Etc..

I know one guy removed the rubber and replaced it with a threaded pvc adapter like you use for electrical conduit with a big metal nut on it, bolted it into the hole and the siliconed around it. I have never investigated how to do it as i don't intend to be going through deep water.. LOL
